All Rayon/Silk Velvet scarves are made from 82% Rayon/18% Silk, with a silk backing fabric and lush deep rayon pile. The cut velvet comes in 10 different patterns, which are enhanced by the fact that the silk and velvet take the same colors slightly differently for a lovely contrast. In all of these scarves, the sheen of the rayon adds even more dimension to the colors; dark colors shine out when light hits them, and pale colors become luminous.
Pictured in the gallery are some dark and bright color combinations (they’re named in the photo description) – Choose a color combination or “Variations on 1 to 3 colors” and describe what you’re looking for – photos or colored images are the best way to show me what you want, if you want something specific. Blues and pinks tend to create silvery highlights on the velvet, and warmer colors have more golden or intense versions of themselves as highlights. Dark colors on the solid scarves can be *very* dramatic!
Dry clean or Hand wash cold, rinse cold, wring as thoroughly as possible, and immediately hang dry. We don’t recommend using a washer for scarves with fringe, as it’ll tangle and knot. For scarves with no fringe, only wash cold/delicate if you use a machine. To speed drying, try a delicate spin cycle in your washing machine, with some other fabrics that won’t take color (i.e. polyester, other man-made fibers). Alternatively, you can iron dry on a medium ‘silk’ setting. Don’t leave silk sitting wadded or folded wet, as colors will bleed.
